Depth:  5 - 30 m


Fish Live: large group of blue-stripe and humpback snappers at the corner of the channel; on the sandy bottom whitetip reef sharks, sometimes stingrays


Coral Growth: only from interest in the upper part and at the outer reef


North-east monsoon season mostly ingoing current, dive reef to the right, sometimes counter-current up to the corner; there you’ll find between 27 – 30 m a sand bed with garden eels and often whitetip reef sharks sleeping on the bottom; look also around for stingrays; the follow reef into the channel; in the back there are sandy slopes with big coral blocks at about 6 m; many glassfish found in these blocks

Experience Level: easy diving, if current isn’t too strong


Features: also suitable for diving courses in the back of the channel on the sand


Specialty: mas means fish in divehi; during the manta season (normally September- December) there are a lot of them in the very back of the channel


South-west monsoon season: mostly outgoing current, dive reef to the left; before the exit there are some nice, big coral blocks and at corner you’ll find a good variety of fish life; look out for whitetip reef sharks or stingrays; continue dive on the outer reef, which comes up to about 6 m to the surface
